Do you think we need to be concerned about global warming? If so, why?

I think if the scientists are correct, we need to be concerned about global warming because the climate will alter the unique relationships of various regions of the world. Deserts could become larger. Drought could lead to the loss of crops, leading to further starvation in already vulnerable regions. The glaciers could melt to the extent that the sea rises, causing severe flooding in heavily populated parts of the world.

THis administration has only exasperated these very issues, and unless we curb it somehow, it will only get worse. That being said, many of the statistics that are being quoted do not take into account some of the technologies taht are on our immediate horizon, such as fuel cell cars. These vehicles use Hydrogen as their primary fuel, and through a chemical reaction, generate electricity for a motor, and the exhaust is water

I believe the scientists are right on. I would love it if this, or the next administration would increase the tax insentives for solar power for residential uses. I feel that this is one of the only ways that individuals will be able to afford this technology, and will seriously alleviate the power companies demands. Solar is the cleanest technology, with respects to its blueprint on the environment, currently in the marketplace, and I think has the most potential of reducing our dependence on foreign oil.
